Committees
Revolution Leading Committee is the highest-level Committee of YDNBUSU in the Spring Revolution. It is organized by Officers of subcommittees. There are 5 subcommittees in YDNBUSU.
Subcommittee for Strike
Subcommittee for Strike is in charge of the protests of Revolution Leading Committee which are taking place on the ground. Yadanabon University Student Union (YDNBUSU) has participated in the protest columns of Mandalay-based Universities’ Student Unions, and as of today, it continues to operate the YDNBUSU Strike marching with the backing of the university’s students and citizens.
Judiciary, Finance and CDM Supporting Subcommittee
This subcommittee was formed to ensure the continued funding of YDNBUSU during the revolution and to support the people’s heroes at Yadanabon University, namely the teachers, officers, and staff who are participating in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) in cooperation with the Acting University Council. It is charged with the responsibility of securing and maintaining funds for the student union and CDM employees.
Education Subcommittee
During the revolutionary period against the military junta, the education subcommittee is charged with implementing an interim learning system and federal democracy education in collaboration with the Interim Student Council. Yandanabon University’s interim learning system is revolution-based, and it is intended not just at students at Yadanabon University, but also at students and youths throughout Myanmar. Interim learning system is implemented by collaboration with the Interim Education Support Committee of the Acting University Council. Currently, the education subcommittee is implementing the Burma Academy Platform in collaboration with fellow student councils and student unions that are championing the all-inclusive temporary education initiative.
Information, Advocacy and Coordination Subcommittee
This subcommittee is responsible for publishing Yadanabon University Student Union news, responding to media inquiries, executing various communication initiatives, and campaigning for and coordinating with other partner groups that share similar goals. Additionally, it is working to carry out the Revolution Leading Committee’s federal democracy fights and federal democracy education goals through advocacy and collaboration with the leading organizations in the current political struggle, education implementation organizations, and other partner organizations.
Record and Office Team
It is responsible for the Yadanabon University Student Union’s (YDNBUSU) operations, including keeping the archives of meeting records and assisting with YDNBUSU’s office work.
