About us
Yadanabon University Students’ Union (YDNBUSU) was founded on 21 Feburary 2017 by nine students who represent five student associations in needs of protecting the student rights. Since the foundation, YDNBUSU stood by the people and worked perpetually towards reformation of democracy in Myanmar and democratic education. In the years of 2017-2018-2019, elections were held for major representatives and organized executive committee with representatives. There was from Acting Executive Committee to Third Executive Committee with election results. The Acting Executive Committee was also temporarily reorganized during Covid-19 period. After the military coup, YDNBUSU stood up for the students and people of Myanmar in anti-fascist revolution and fight for federal democracy by forming strike committees and currently co-work with other democratic forces in many ways.
Our Vision

- To help the students to become physically and mentally developed citizens with good communication skills & manners
- To prevent & protect from violations of the students’ rights in direct or indirect manners
- To help the students in their studies and interests
- To build the unity of Myanmar students & interconnect intimately with students & student communities from around the world.
Our Mission
- We will conduct education seminars, student conferences and student assemblies.
- We will coordinate educational matters with individuals, organizations and government officials.
- We will implement founding libraries and publishing magazines and journals.
- We will strive for essentials of influencing civilized behaviors which will benefit the people.
- We will organize sport events, debates, impromptu speech contests, essay competitions, talkshows, literature circles and technology seminars.
- We will stand by the students against violations of student rights.
- We will co-operate with other organizations and individuals who have similar perspective with our sentiments.
